Mary Elizabeth Driggers

Mrs. Mary Beth Driggers, age 68, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.  She was born on August 11, 1952 in Brunswick to Charles and Mary Elizabeth Waters August and had lived in Glennville most of her life.  She was a seamstress that had worked for many years in the sewing factories in Glennville.  Sister Beth enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, quilting and going on vacations with Crissy and Ruben.  Her favorite pastime was anything Church related.  She was a devoted member of the Glennville First United Pentecostal Church and is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers in law, David Driggers, Larry Driggers, and Jay Ingves.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mr. Donnie Driggers of Glennville; children, Crissy (Ruben) Melendez of Woodstock and Julie Lagrone of Glennville; siblings, Rusty August of FL, Sandy Ingves of CT, Debby (Jeff) Ditlefsen of Jesup and Chuck August of Cobbtown; grandchildren, Jon Driggers, Anna Driggers and Connor Melendez,; brother in law, Gary (Fran) Driggers of Glennville; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 beginning at 5:00pm at the Glennville Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Thursday, April 1, 2021 from the Glennville First United Pentecostal Church with the Reverends James Holland and Brad Pickren officiating.  Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ben Ray, Danny Johns, Cris Bartlett, Scott Bartlett, Jake Sikes, and Jeff Ditlefsen
