Mr. Mathew Stanley Jasinski was born June 21, 1922 in Adams, Massachusetts and passed away at the age of 91 on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Jesup, Georgia. Mr. Jasinski was a World War II United States Marine Veteran and also retired after 40 years of service in the airline industry ending his career with Eastern Airlines before moving to Glennville in 1995. He enjoyed playing golf, listening to classical music and was also a former member of the Glennville Lions Club. He is preceded in death by wife Lestina L. Jasinski; parents, John and Sophie Jasinski and siblings, Irene Meczawoure, Eva Les, Helen Begrovitcz and Casey Jasinski.
Mr. Jasinski is survived by two sons, Paul C. Jasinski (Lyn) of Ridgefield, Connecticut and Mathew “Matt” B. Jasinski (Gala) of Glennville; brother, Eugene “Gene” Jasinski of Canada; grandchildren, Mathew “Mat” P. Jasinski (Valerie) of Hartford, Connecticut, Lucas Diego Jasinski of Glennville; great grandchild, Samuel “Sam” J. Jasinski and brother-in-law, Carroll Gagnon (Sue) of Hanson, Massachusetts.
Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:15am on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from the Glennville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral Services will follow at 11:30am from the Glennville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Bargeron officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Marines.
Memorials may be given to the Glennville Lions Club.
