Savannah
Maurice H. Parker died on May 16, 2016 at the ripe age of 84 finishing twenty-six years of happy retirement in Savannah. Before that, he completed a haphazard career of spinning space stories for newsmen as Public Information Officer at The NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. The illegitimate son of Groucho Marx and a woman known only as Lou, he was born in haste and immediately thought to be in bad taste. He missed World War Two by about five years, missed Audrey Hepburn almost daily and missed his love of 60 years, Nancy, every single moment since she left first about three years ago. He enjoyed sex, reading, old movies, cigars, Scotch without ice, milk (also without ice), in approximately that order. His main regrets in life were that he never managed to look like Errol Flynn, become the next William Claude Fields or the most respected pornographic writer in the entire throbbing, pulsating, sweat-drenched world.
His main accomplishments in life were his progeny: his daughters, CM Joey Parker of Hampton VA and Melissa Parker of Ladson SC, his grand-daughter, Chelsea Baker (Ryan) and great grand-daughter, Audrey Baker, of Augusta GA. They are going to miss him a lot so services will be private.
If you are so moved, please pitch some pennies into the hat for The Learning Center of Senior Citizens, Inc., 3025 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31405. Maurice loved that place and its people.
