Mayme Harris, age 85 passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 ay Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Mayme was born on December 7, 1936, in Milan, TN to Carmen and Paul Walker. On September 5, 1959, she married the love of her life, Albert James Harris III in Milan, Tennessee. They raised two children, David and Kat, and were married for 62 years. She was much loved for her wit and humor, for her tender caring for all her family and loved ones.

Her beloved husband Al, parents, and three siblings, Fred, Jean, and Frank preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Kat, son David (Alison) Harris, and her grandchildren, Lily and Ethan.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please think of Mayme Harris, a lifelong Democrat, when casting your vote for Wade Herring for Congress as well as other Democrats this November’s election.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Harris family.
