Melba (Aspinwall) Gay Brazel

Mrs. Melba Gay Brazel age 79, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Community Hospice. The Odum, GA native had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Elza Baptist Church. Mrs. Melba was a member of the Red Hat Foxy Ladies, Reidsville Lions Club and the VFW Ladies Auxillary. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Morris Gay and EO Brazel.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Darrell O’Neal, June and Johnny Mimbs, and Gayle and Thomas Bland all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Katy and Laura Bland both of Reidsville; special caregiver, Faye Williams of Claxton; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Monday from the Reidsville Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Chaplain Dewitt Corbin officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
