Melba Cordelia (Jones) Keeton

Obituary

Mrs. Melba Keeton age 73 passed away Sunday October 28, 2012 at her residence under the care of her family and Serenity Hospice.  The Newnan, Georgia native had lived all over the country during her working career but mostly in New York and Atlanta.  She retired from American Express moving to Tattnall in 1997.  She was a devoted member of The Reidsville United Methodist Church serving as a member the Administrative Board, Council On Ministries, and Chair of the Missions Team.  She was also an active member of the Lillian Eason Sunday School Class.  She had a love for missions and organized the RUMC Food Pantry Ministry and the Pumpkin Patch.  On October 28, 2012, The Reidsville United Methodist Church honored Mrs. Melba by naming the food pantry, Melba’s Mission House.

She is survived by her daughters, Kayla, Erica and Alyssa Keeton all of Reidsville; sister and brother in law, Jane and Ken Ford of Reidsville; niece, Gina Miller of Reidsville; great nephews, Kenny Ford and Drew Miller all of Reidsville;

Visitation and Funeral Services

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from the Reidsville United Methodist Church with the Reverend Marc Foster officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayman Parker, Brandon Parker, Dewey Nail, Brent Durrence, Mark Shuman and Herman Jarriel. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Mission Committee and The Food Pantry workers.
