Obituary
Melrose Oliver Jones, age 84 passed away
Wednesday,
August 15, 2012
at Evans
Memorial Hospital. The Collins
native had
lived in Reidsville most
of her life moving to
Claxton
fourteen years ago. She was a
homemaker
that loved to cook,
sew and was
the last living child of Tom and Maggie
Oliver.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded
in death by her
husband, Dewey Jones.
She is survived by son and daughter in law, Tommy and Teresa J.
Anderson of Reidsville;
daughter and son-in-law, Lola and Steve
Lovelace of Lawrenceville; step sons, James Jones,
Dean Jones,
Billy Jones all of Reidsville, Eddie Jones of Minnesota; Darryl Jones
of Florida;
step daughter, Gloria Collins of Glennville, Wanda Metzmeier
of Reidsville, Tina Moore of
Waynesboro, Ruthie Boyd of North Carolina;
five grandchildren, two great grandchildren,
numerous step grand and
great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be from 9:00am to 10:45am on Saturday August 18, 2012
from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the
services to follow at 11:00am from the Chapel with the Reverend Jeff
Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in the Battle Creek Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Louie Hightower, Alan Harrelson, Carlton Lewis,
Alan Davis,
Jesse Cranford, Leslie Cranford
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home Reidsville Chapel, is serving the Jones family.
