Merle Allen Stepherson

Merle Allen Stepherson, age 61, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021in Metter.  He was born on December 21, 1959 in Savannah, GA to Harry Dewey and Margie Moody Stepherson.  He had lived in Metter most of his life.  Mr. Stepherson was a truck driver for over 30 years.  He loved gardening, camping, and especially seeing about his animals. He loved life and lived it to the fullest in a jovial way.  He is a member of the Metter Presbyterian Church and is preceded in death by his father, Harry Dewey Stepherson and his stepfather, Charles Chance.

He is survived by his mother, Margie Moody Chance of Rincon; significant other, Ronny Hudson of Metter; brother, Kennith (Pam) Stepherson of Appomattox, VA; sisters, Vicki (Brian) Hood of Guyton and Dianne (Johnny) Callaway of Collins; his canine companion, Patches; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial funeral services will be held 11:00am on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Rev. Mark George officiating.
