Mr. Millard Fillmore Williams, Sr., age 88, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Augusta University Medical Center. He was born in Manassas, Georgia on December 27, 1932 to Guy Morgan and Bertha Mae Stubbs Williams. Mr. Williams served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army in Korea and after an honorable discharge lived in Savannah Georgia before returning to Tattnall County where he met and married the love of his life Christine Anderson on  April 16, 1954 .They were married for 67 years and lived in Swainsboro for 50 years. He worked in construction and maintenance and was employed with Husqvarna for 28 years. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, yard work but his passion was playing the bass guitar in church which he said God taught him to play. He loved to praise God this way.  His biggest joy came from his family.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Christine Anderson Williams of Swainsboro: children, Millard "Buddy" Fillmore Williams Jr. (Rita) of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Corbin Michael Williams (Lea Ann) of Swainsboro; grandchildren Kevin (Christine) Williams of Sevierville Tennessee, Candace Williams Hughey (Josh) of Sevierville Tennessee, Brandon Williams ( Sara) of Augusta ,Georgia, Morgan Jersey(Brittany)and Macy Fagler of Swainsboro. He had 7 great-grandchildren Ty Williams, Max Williams, Evin Hughey, Collins Hughey, Allie Hughey, Dani Hughey, and Noah Williams; siblings, David(Richie Dean) Williams of Springfield, GA and Dorothy Deloach Of Statesboro; several nieces and nephews. He also had several sister-in-laws that he loved and always considered his "sisters".

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you please donate to your favorite charity or to St. Judes Children Hospital.

Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with honors rendered by the US Army.  Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Williams Family.
