Mrs. Minnie Tidwell Jones , age 90, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.  The Tattnall County native had lived in the Collins area most of her life.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Collins Baptist Church.  She loved to play the piano, sing, paint, and craft.  She especially loved her dog and cats. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roey and Lula Woods; husbands, Russell Tidwell and Frank Jones;  siblings, Lucy Key, Alice Trent, Martha Jean Whatley, Johnny Woods and Roy Woods.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Thompson of New York; siblings, Jimie (Brenda) Woods of Collins, GA, June Pearson of Reidsville, GA, Thelvia (David) Gaulden of Easton, MD and Ann (Charles) Lifer of Huntsville, AL; niece, Pam Brannen of Glennville, GA; nephew, Greg Pearson of Hilton Head, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from the Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory with the funeral services to follow at 1:00pm with the Reverend Steve Kimbrell officiating. A lunch will be served in the social hall of the Collins Baptist Church immediately following the service.
