Miriam (Wilds) Gay

Reidsville,

Miriam Wilds Gay , age 77, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville all of her life.  She retired from Oxford Manufacturing after forty plus years.  Mrs. Gay loved to read and attend Blue Grass Festivals.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Esten and Birdie Spikes Wilds; and a sister, Emma Ruth Clark.

She is survived by her husband of 57yrs, Mr. JW Gay of Reidsville;  daughter, Lisa (Robert) Powell of Reidsville, grandchildren, Dustin and April Powell both of Reidsville; brother in law, Hugh Clark of Reidsville; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends Thursday beginning at 6:00pm from the funeral home.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Friday, November 13, 2015 from the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Community Hospice or The Alzheimer’s Foundation.
