Misty Cannon

Misty Cannon, age 44, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at her home in Telfair County.  The Bulloch County native spent her formative years in and around Statesboro.  Following school, she endeavored to be wife and mother.  For a number of years, she had a home daycare caring for others kids in the community.  Through life's twists and turns, she always tried to make the most of each day. For all that knew her, she will be sorely missed.  She is preceded in death by her adoptive father, Luther R. Rogers, II.

Misty leaves behind two daughters, Christine Patience (Arthur Eugene) Anderson and Heavenly Ciara Maye (Robert William) Smith; three grandchildren, ZoeyAnn Myntia Smith, Arthur Eugene Anderson, III, and Arabella Rainey Nicole Smith; birthparents, Vivian Rainey and George Edward Rainey; adoptive mother, Virginia Duchess; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Mill Creek Park in Statesboro beginning at 2:00 p.m. and all are invited to attend.
