Ms. Montez Martin Deloach, age 95, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Collins on August 31, 1929, to Henry and Leona Cobb Martin. Ms. Montez had lived between Collins and Glennville most of her life. She was a seamstress and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She is a member of Northside Baptist Church in Glennville and is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ted Deloach; her son, Pat Martin; her granddaughter, Julie Sikes; her great grandson, Micah Williamson; and her siblings, David Martin, Paul Martin, Royce Martin and Virginia Todd.
She is survived by her children, Gwen (Greg) Strickland of Claxton, Tony Hall and Richard Hall both of Collins; brother, Ellis Martin of Vidalia; grandchildren, Melanie (Steve) Williamson of Brunswick, Haley (Hunter) Davis of Reidsville, Jessika (Mark) Stieffenhofer of PA and Martin Hall; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Reverend Kenny Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Pallbearers will be Stacy Martin, Hunter Davis, Jacob Barrow, Cade Sikes, Daniel Deloach and Trent Deloach.
Memorials may be given to the Charity of Donor’s Choice.
The family would like to acknowledge the extended family members, Glenn and Vera Deloach, Brenda Rolls, John and Gayle Grimes, and Bill and Gail Daughtry who assisted in Ms. Montez's care.
