Mrs. Alice Ann (Hanson) Walker

Mrs. Alice Ann Hanson Walker, age 74, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.  She was born on October 14, 1944 in Monroe, Georgia to Roy and Ossie Hanson and had lived in Glennville for the past fifty years.  She had retired as the Executive Director of the Glennville Housing Authority after 33 years of service.  Mrs. Alice was a member of the Glennville United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Greg Treadwell.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mr. Brent Walker; children, Brent (Susan) Walker, Jr. of Shellman Bluff, Lee Walker (Olivia) of Glennville, and Brad Walker of Glennville; sisters, Carol Treadwell and Sherry Chandler both of Monroe; grandchildren, Ayrizona (Steven) Sharpe, Calee Preston Walker, and Raleigh Walker; nephews, Keith (Lisa) Treadwell and Mark Treadwell.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the funeral home with the funeral services to follow at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with the Reverend Jim Morrow officiating.  A private graveside will be held in Monroe.
