Nancy Ann Mead

Ms. Nancy Ann Mead, age 62, passed away Friday March 29, 2019 at her home in Claxton where her sister, Susan Howard and Spanish Oaks Hospice took wonderful and loving care of her.  She had lived in several cities in Georgia most of her life.  She was reared in Toombs County where she went to Toombs County Schools and attended Rocky Creek Baptist Church.  Nancy enjoyed knitting and working outside in her yards.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Hazel Mead; her brother, Jerry Lee Mead.

She is survived by her children, Jeffery Mead of Florida, Thomas McGahee of CO, and Cheryl Cox of SC; siblings, Larry (Dana) Mead of Springfield, Susan (Paul) Howard of Claxton, and Terry (Greg) Best of Springfield; 10 grandchildren and several other relatives.

Memorial funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Reverend Artis Carswell officiating.  Burial will be private.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Mead family.
