Natasha Denetris Porter

On May 1, 1972, Natasha Denetris Porter entered this life in Candler County, Georgia to James and Doris Porter.

She attended Claxton schools and Reidsville schools earning her high school diploma from Reidsville High School, class of 1990.  Attending Swainsboro Technical Institute in the fall of 1990, she earned a degree in Early Childhood Development in 1991.  Displaying her love for children, she passionately worked as a Paraprofessional at Reidsville Elementary School in Reidsville, GA.  After concluding a career in education, she continued to touch the lives of children through her nieces and nephews.  She served as a Correctional Officer at Smith State Prison in Glennville, GA and she continued her hard work and dedication of service at Federal Correctional Institute- Jesup.

Natasha departed this life on Thursday, December 22, 2022, after living a life full of happiness.  Remaining to cherish her memories are her parents, James and Doris Porter; two brothers, Christopher Porter and Dexter Porter; four sisters, Marisha Porter, Keisha Porter, Myisha Porter, and Ladaysha Porter; eight nieces, Avilon Brown, Jha’neisha Porter, Gabrielle (Anthony) Holloway, Maurielle Harmon, Makayla Eason, Lauren Porter, Madalyn Brewton, and Ranaysha Smith; four nephews, Ghavyn (Delia) Harmon, Mykel Porter (Godson), Wendell Coleman, and Sinseir Joyce; four beloved fur babies, Cookie, Ginger, Sugar, and Pierre Porter.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 30, 2022, at from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial in Reidsville.

The Home Going Celebration will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. Donnell Benjamin presiding and Rev. Dr. Will White delivering the Eulogy.

Interment will follow at Robert’s Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kareem Rogers, Dominek Mincey, Nakia Mincey, Brandon Harton, Lannie Porter, and Eddie Jackson.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Love and Walter Johnson.

Low Country Cremation & Burial is serving the bereaved Porter family.
