Nathan “Nate” Wooten, age 60 passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. He was a native of North Carolina and had lived most of his life in Gumbranch. He was a US Army veteran and was a landscaper for many years. Nate had a kind soul and was always there to help others. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Susannah Wooten of Gumbranch; children, Alan Wooten of North Carolina, Patricia (Chris) Ellis of North Carolina, Jennifer Wooten of Hinesville, Benjamin Wooten, USAF; step-children, Susannah Harris of Ludowici, Terrie (Michael) Rowan of Hinesville; siblings, Ellis Wooten, Jr., Edgar (Rhonda) Wooten, Janice (Michael) Chadwick, Clarence (Zesta) Wooten all of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 23, 2021 from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home. Military honors will be rendered by the US Army.
