Nicholas Conrad Wear, age 51, passed away on October 7, 2021, under the care of Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia. The Florida native would move to Nebraska in his teens and following graduation from high school, would enlist in the US ARMY. While in the Army, Nicholas would not only work on the CH-47 Chinook helicopters but would also become a flight engineer. Following his years of military service, he would settle down for a slower paced lifestyle and would see the country as a long-haul truck driver. During the last few years of his life, he and his late wife, Michelle, would move to Reidsville and he would work in transportation at Claxton Poultry Farms. In his free time, he loved growing his garden, fishing, hunting, and listening to blue grass music. Nicholas is preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Wear.
Left to carry on memories of a life well lived is his son, Nick Wear of Reidsville; daughter, Farren Smith of Reidsville; a brother, Christopher Wear of Nebraska; a sister, Mara Wear of Nebraska; other relatives and friends also survive.
A period of fellowship and visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial. All co-workers, friends, and relatives are invited to come and share memories together. Services will conclude at the chapel.
