Nicolas Gonzalez , age 62, passed away suddenly in Augusta on January 15, 2016. The Tacambaro, Michoacan Mexico native lived most of his adult life in the U.S. During his working career he was always involved in industrial construction and helped to build bridges, highways, and commercial buildings all over the southeast. In his free time, he was a very active family man. No matter the situation, his family knew that he would be the steadfast leader and ear that would listen and offer the best advice to get through any issue. Among his hobbies he loved taking his family fishing. Nicolas will forever be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, involved grandfather, dedicated employee, and loyal servant to God. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Apolinar Gonzalez, and a grand-daughter Regina Abigail Gonzalez.

Left to mourn his memory are his wife of 36 years, Antonia Gonzalez of Reidsville; sons, Jose (Erika) Gonzalez and Richard (Christina) Gonzalez of Reidsville; daughters, Guadalupe (Ambrosio) Gonzalez, Ana (Arnold) Lara, Lidia (Jorge) Torres, and Ruby Gonzalez all of Reidsville; one brother Mario (Cecilia) Gonzalez of Glennville; 4 sisters Salud Gonzalez of Willamston SC, Virginia Gonzalez , Lucila Gonzalez, and Olivia Gonzalez all of Mexico; 13 grandchildren Victor, Cristian, and Eben Gonzalez, Tanya Saucedo, Luis, Kevin, and Arianna Gonzalez, Joe, Travis, and Jasmin Lara, Jorge, Lisabeth, and Isabella Torres; mother-in-law, Lucina Morado; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also survive.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be conducted on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Christopher Catholic Church in Claxton GA with Father John Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Reidsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Gonzalez, Richard Gonzalez, Jorge Torres, Arnold Lara, Mario Gonzalez, and Ambrosio Gonzalez.

Nicolás González, de 62 años, falleció repentinamente en Augusta el 15 de enero de 2016. El Tacambaro, Michoacán México natal vivió la mayor parte de su vida adulta en los EE.UU. Durante su carrera profesional siempre estuvo involucrado en la construcción industrial y ayudó a construir puentes, carreteras y edificios comerciales en todo el sureste. En su tiempo libre, él era un hombre de familia muy activa. No importa la situación, su familia sabía que iba a ser el líder firme y el oído que escucha y ofrecer el mejor consejo para conseguir a través de cualquier tema. Entre sus aficiones le gustaba pescar con la familia. Nicolas siempre será recordado como un amando esposo, padre cariñoso, abuelo involucrado empleado dedicado y leal siervo de Dios. Se quedan a llorar su memoria su esposa de 36 años de matrimonio, Antonia González, de Reidsville; hijos, José (Erika) González y Richard (Christina) González de Reidsville; hijas, Guadalupe (Ambrosio) González, Ana (Arnold) Lara, Lidia (Jorge) Torres, y Ruby González todos Reidsville; un hermano Mario (Cecilia) González de Glennville; 4 hermanas Salud González de Willamston SC, Virginia Gonzalez, Lucila González, y Olivia Gonzalez todos de México; 13 nietos Victor, Cristian y Eben González, Tanya Saucedo, Luis, Kevin, y Arianna González, Joe, Travis, y Jasmin Lara, Jorge, Lisabeth, e Isabel Torres; suegra Lucina Morado; numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas, amigos y otros familiares también sobreviven. Visitación está programada para el Martes, 19 de enero 2016 en la capilla de Bradley B. Anderson Funeraria y Crematorio de 5:00 pm-9: 00 pm Misa Funeral se llevará a cabo el Miércoles, 20 de enero 2016 a las 2:00 pm desde Iglesia Católica de San Cristóbal en Claxton GA con el padre John Johnson oficiante. Los portadores del féretro serán José González, Richard González, Jorge Torres, Arnold Lara, Mario González, y Ambrosio González. El cortejo fúnebre seguirá en Reidsville cementerio de la ciudad.
