Mommy Nieves

Mommy Nieves, aka "Ebeng", formally known as Nieves Binuagan Savea, passed away early on the morning of Sunday, January 19th, 2025, at the young age of 46, while in her sleep and surrounded by family. 

Born in the Philippines to goodly parents, she started working at the tender age of 10 while attending school. She graduated from Cagayan State University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education at the age of 20 and went on to be an inspiration to many children as their school teacher. Later on she became employed as a nanny in Hong Kong where she was loved as family. At the age of 28 she left her career to pursue her dream of raising a family.

Nieves is best known for her kindness and love. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, best friend to many, auntie, teacher, sister, and so much more to so many people across the globe. Nieves loved serving the people around her with a heart full of love as she worked to follow the example of Jesus Christ. She felt compassion for the suffering and acted. She lifted burdens and consoled grieving hearts. She just wanted her loved ones to be happy.

She is preceded by her parents and survived by her husband, Patrick Savea; sons, Jondalar and Darth Savea; daughters, Surirat Chitaboot and Shinehah Savea; granddaughter, Sirin; all her siblings, and countless loved ones.

She will forever live in the hearts of many.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 220 Sandy Run Drive, Hinesville, GA. 31313.

Interment will be on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
