Noland Walker , age 60, of Glennville, Georgia, left us on March 24, 2017 to be with our Lord and Savior. Mr. Walker was born one of a set of triplet boys to the late Mr. Willie Brice Walker and the late Ms. Pearl DeLoach Blocker Walker both of Long County. Mr. Walker passed after a short illness while surrounded by the love of his family. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents and his two triplet brothers Roland and Doland Walker; brothers, Bud Blocker, C. H. Blocker, Author Blocker, Roy Walker and Freeman Walker of Long County; sisters, Rosa Lee Burkhalter, Josephine Ray, Opal DeLoach, Pauline Huber all of Glennville and Retha Holland of Donald. Mr. Walker grew up in Long County and married Miss Linda Ford of Savannah, in 1981. Mr. Walker worked as a truck driver for McBride, and later worked for many years for JT Turner Construction Company. He performed superb construction all around Georgia and South Carolina. Noland was a very kind and giving person and will be missed tremendously by all that knew him. He loved his daughters dearly, and was very proud of them.
Surviving are his daughters, Jamie Lao and Sheena Babcock both of Richmond Hill; two grandsons, Raymond and Aiden; brother, Douglas Walker of Glennville; sisters, Mary Moody of Ludowici, Rita Cline and Molly Greene both of Glennville, Lois Bryant (Matthew) of Eden, Mildred Strickland (Alan) of Pooler and Myrtle Williams (Buster) of Metter; several nieces and nephews also survive. All of whom he loved very dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm, Sunday, March 26, 2017 from Little Rock Baptist Church with the Reverend Shon Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Glennville Memorial Gardens.
