Norman G. Gocken

Mr. Norm G. Gocken age 84 passed away Saturday September 24, 2011 at Memorial Health Medical University Center in Savannah.  The Crescent City, IL native had lived in Watseka, IL most of his life moving to Lakeland, FL thirteen years ago.  He was a US Army World War II Veteran and retired from Decker Furniture.  Mr. Gocken was a member of the American Legion, Elks Club, Moose Club and loved to play golf.  As a veteran, a highlight in Mr. Gocken's life was joining the Honor Flight team to travel on July 21, 2011 to Washington, DC to visit the World War II monument.

He is survived by his wife of 65yrs., Mrs. Verna Gocken of Lakeland, FL

Daughter, Marcia McCoy of Cincinnati, OH

Son, Mike Gocken of Savannah

Three grandchildren, Jeffrey Stickel of Indianapolis, IN

David Stickel of Charleston, SC

Charlie Gocken of Columbus, OH

Three great grandaughters, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial funeral services will be held at a later date.
