Northern Adon Anderson

Ludowici, GA

Northern Adon Anderson, age 76 , passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.  The Tattnall County native spent his entire life in the Tattnall and Long county communities.  Following his graduation from Reidsville High School, Northern went to work with Canoochee EMC in Reidsville.  Following an impressive 39 years of dedicated service to the community, he retired in 2006.  In addition to his tenure with CEMC, he also served two terms as on the Reidsville City Council and was a volunteer fireman on the Reidsville Fire Department.  Following retirement, he was able to devote more time and attention to his hobbies, which included fishing, hunting, and trapping.  Although outdoor activities was dear to his heart, his love for God was undeniably his passion in life.  He would go on to serve as a Deacon with Ludowici First Baptist Church and was an active and vital member of the congregation.  A man of uncompromising work ethic, a dedicated family man, and a true servant of God; Northern has gained his Heavenly reward.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Adon and Ruby Nell Anderson; two sons, Paul Anderson and Northern Anderson Jr.; sister, Fronie Wood and grandson, Daniel Quintero.

Northern leaves behind a son, Timothy (Jill) Anderson of Reidsville; three daughters, Jennifer (Nelson) Ferry of AL, Pamela (Nicholas) Ross of McDonough GA, and Dancy Wear of Hinesville; a sister, Pearl Anderson of Reidsville; three grandchildren, Briston and Brayden Ferry and Dominick Torres; numerous other relatives, friends, and brother and sisters in Christ also survive.

A period of viewing will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Glennville Funeral Home.  The family encourages all attendees to practice proper social distancing and use protective coverings while indoors.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Rentz and Rev.
