Obie Strickland

Obie Strickland, age 60 passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Altamaha Healthcare Center. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Franklin and Shirley Screws Strickland and had lived in Tattnall County for most of his life. Mr. Obie was a US Army veteran and a retired truck driver. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his step-children, J.J. Herb, J.R. Herb, Scotty Herb and Jennie Herb all of Reidsville;  brother, Ricky (Lynda) Strickland of Glennville; sister, Darlene Bunch of North Carolina; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm, Friday, August 24, 2018 from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with the Reverend John Daughtry officiating.
