Oren "Pat" Dubberly

Oren Pat Dubberly, 79, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2016. The Glennville native was a Vietnam veteran who served 21 years with the Field Artillery in the US Army. After retiring as a 1st Sergeant, he went on to serve 20 additional years with the Department of Defense as a Quality Assurance Ammunition Specialist.  Pat was a lifetime member of the VFW, The American Legion and The Disabled American Veterans. Pat is preceded in death by his parents, Atys and Lila Dubberly; sisters, Virginia Boone, Peggy Fowler; brothers, Dan Dubberly, Reginald "Topsy" Dubberly; and his wife of 45 years, Judy Dubberly.

Pat is survived by his two sons, Patrick Dubberly and his wife, Terri of Gatesville Texas, Brian Dubberly and his wife, Ellyn of Ahuachapan El Salvador; his granddaughter, Molly Dubberly of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; two great-grandsons, Luke and Brennen of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; brother, Jack Dubberly and his wife, Libby of Lyons; sister, Bonnie Johnson of Glennville; and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Visitation will begin at 11:00am with funeral services to be conducted at 12:00pm, Friday, September 2, 2016 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation Services and Burial. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at the Georgia Veterans Memorials Cemetery in Glennville with full military honors.
