Baxley
Oscar Dale Massey, age 58 passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017. The Kennett, Missouri native had lived in many different parts of the country before moving to Michigan where he met and married the love of his life, Jeanette. They had lived in Michigan for 15 years before moving to Baxley 3 years ago. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a wonderful provider that enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his spare time. He especially loved to farm and took a great deal of pride in growing blueberries. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Willie Mae Woods Massey; brothers, Ron and Allan and a sister, Carol.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Massey of Baxley; sons, Eric, Oscar Dale, Jr. and Billy Ray; daughters, Dawn Marie, Nita Lynn and Jennifer Ann; brothers, JR (Ila), Roy (Kay) and Wesley (Rita); sisters, Shirley, Mary, Marie, Donna Sue (Scott); sister-in-law, Sudie; brother-in-law, Vernon; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
A celebration of life will be held 7:00pm Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Out of Your Comfort Zone Revival in Baxley.
Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Massey family.
