Pamela Kay Swope, age 66 passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her residence.  The Virginia native had lived in Glennville most of her life.  Pam was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was most remembered by her family for her love to care for others.  She attended First United Pentecostal Church in Glennville and the House of Help in Hinesville.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Ricketson and Kitti Jernigan; her husband, Lewis Gene Swope, Sr., and a brother Robbie Jernigan.

She is survived by her daughter, Nikki (Esteban) Gutierrez of Hinesville; step children, Gene (Connie) Swope of Glennville, John (Crystal) Swope of Jesup, and Kristy Swope (Javier) Chavez of Indiana; siblings, Tracy Waters of Claxton, Beckie Jo Kellen-Leno of California, Johnny Jernigan of Claxton, Steve Ricketson of Hawaii, James Ricketson and Doug Lee both of Utah; grandchildren, Alexis Walker, Evelyn Santacruz, and David Santacruz; several step grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Glennville Funeral.  Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Saturday from the Chapel of the Glennville Funeral Home with the Reverend James Holland officiating.  Interment will follow in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Swope, John Swope, Bailey Swope, Sean Swope, Brad Swope and Esteban Gutierrez.
