Patricia Ann Gardner, age 75, entered eternal Glory on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 after courageously battling a short-term illness. The native of Birmingham Alabama was born on January 26, 1946 to the late Lindsay and Josephine Williams. She was educated in the Birmingham School System where she attended Washington and Center Street Elementary before going on to attend Ullman High School. Patricia accepted Christ at an early age, joining the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Upon moving to Soperton GA, she later attended the First Church of God in Christ (Soperton). Patricia loved being a mother! Not only to her own three children, but to her sisters, brothers, and countless other young men and women. She was a friend and mentor in her neighborhood. She was a very generous and loving person. She would give you the clothes on her back to be a blessing to you unto God. To sum it all up, she was a missionary at heart. Patricia made her transition to be with the Lord on her appointed day of April 28, 2021 and we know she rejoiced in answering the Lord’s call. Patricia is preceded in Glory by her parents; a son, Antonio Goodson; two brothers, Lindsay Holloway, and Jerrell Williams; a sister, Beatrice Thomas; and two grandchildren, Latoya Benjamin, and Nicholas Nichols.
Left to celebrate a lifetime of memories are her two daughters, Chicquita (Andy) Benjamin and Meloney Nichols; a brother, James (Debra) LeNard; six sisters, Jacqueline Piasant, Evangelist Rozita (Deacon Samuel) Smith, Yolanda (William) Stewart, Andrea (Joe) Hubbard, Natalie Powell, and Chicquita Gathaiya; a special son-in-law, Lonnie Nichols; a special Goddaughter, Sharrelle (Wallace) Delegal; nine grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
