Patsy Johnson

Patsy Darnell Riggs Johnson passed away at her home on Oct. 16, 2023.

Born October 24, 1941, in Tattnall County to the late Grady Riggs and Lee Futch; she is also preceded in death by her husband Fred Johnson, brother Donald Walker, and son in law, Art Robinson.

Patsy was known for staying on the go and making ceramics in her younger years.  She also enjoyed being outdoors and working in her flower garden, winning awards for best porch/yard.  During baseball season, you would find her at the local rec department cheering on the teams.

Survivors include her children; Melissa Robinson, Greg Johnson (Kim), Brian Johnson (Jessica); grandchildren; Belinda Montover, Brandy (Jason) Bolton, Brittany (Daniel) Edmunds, Chastity Morris, Taylor Bell, Kindall Smith, Mallory Johnson. Great grandchildren; Sheri Martin, Zachary Johnson, Emily Martin, Olivia Youngblood, Jessika Edmunds, Waylon Bell & Kinsleigh Morris.

The family would like to thank Community Hospice and the nurses for their kindness and support for her last days.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 beginning at 2:00pm from the Reidsville City Cemetery with Rev. Robert Farrell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00pm to 1:45pm.
