Reidsville,
Mr. Paul “Cigar” Stanfield, age 67, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 while doing his favorite past time, hog hunting. The Tyson native had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He worked many years at Gilman Paper Company in Bellville. He also loved to go fishing and caring for his hunting dogs. Mr. Stanfield is a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he has served as the Head Usher for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lannie and Ethel Morgan Stanfield.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martha Wilson Stanfield of Reidsville; children, Kenneth David (Wendy) Stanfield of Metter and Paula (David) Adame of Reidsville; siblings, Albert Stanfield of Glennville, Mitchell (Ann) Stanfield of Baxley, Hammer (Brenda) Stanfield of Jesup, and Dale Stanfield of Tyson; grandchildren, Kyle Stanfield, Taylor Smith, Daniel Stanfield, and Devan Gay; step grandchildren, Gracie and David Adame; great grandsons, Bryson Stanfield and Lawson Klein; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Saturday from the Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Sunday, May 29, 2016 from the Friendship Baptist Church with the Reverends Wes Collins and Charles Barnard officiating. Interment will follow in the Pineview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Bland, Gregory Stanfield, Chris Stanfield, James Corbitt, Jimmy Williams and Lang Dunham.
