Claxton GA,
Paulette Warren, age 71, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Candler Hospital in Savannah after battling an extended illness. The native of Tampa Florida moved to Evans County 32 years ago to be nearer her mother’s homeplace. In returning to the country, she found a love for the great outdoors. One of her favorite pass times was riding dirt roads. She would ride for hours just looking at the country side. Later in her life, she bought a mule that let her take her trips at a slower pace and enabled her to easily pickup cans along the roadside to help keep nature “natural”. To say that she was adventurous would be an understatement. Once she decided, on a whim, to go to Colorado. She bought her ticket, boarded a greyhound and off she went! Above all else, she loved her family. Her devotion was on full display when she was on an errand to buy her daughter, Necole, a birthday cake. While in Statesboro, the car caught on fire; not willing to let a birthday pass without a cake, she was determined to save the cake from the fire and did so at great risk to herself. For the past 7 years she suffered her illness with impressive dignity. Even enduring tremendous pain and discomfort, she always had kind words for those around her and love in her heart that was on display for all to see. Paulette was truly a light in a dark world and she will be sorely missed by all she touched. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertie Belle Warren and a sister, Carolyn Ladado.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories made are her daughter, Necole (Rena Finch) Warren of Claxton; 4 brothers, Buddy Warren, Paul (Vurnell) Warren, Johnny (Martha) Warren, and Hal Warren all of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends made along the way. Including a special friend, Harriett Rice of Claxton who was always there to help her friend in her time of need.
