Hinesville GA,
Perry Lee Tussey, age 53, passed away on April 2, 2020 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after an extended illness. The Grayson Kentucky native, lived most of his life in his hometown of Grayson. Working at the local full-service gas station in a one red light town, Perry knew everyone, and everyone knew him. He loved his life in a small town where neighbors still cared for and looked after each other. Later in life, he met the love of his life, Debra McGuire and the two married. They had a brief, but wonderful, ten years together as she was taken from him too soon. Shortly after Debra’s passing, Perry’s health also declined, and he moved to Hinesville GA to be nearer to his sister. Even with his failing health, he held onto two of his favorite pass times; watching Wildcat basketball and fishing. Perry was a man you could count on and loved by all who knew him. He will be sorely missed. Perry is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Debra; and four brothers Bill, Jim, Carl, and Ronnie Tussey.
Perry leaves behind a loving family that includes his sister, Elizabeth (Robert) Miller of Hinesville; brother, Jerry Tussey of Jackson KY, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and hundreds of friends and neighbors in Grayson.
In light of the current pandemic, the family plans to hold a memorial service to honor Perry in his beloved hometown of Grayson later this year.
Low Country Cremation & Burial is serving the Tussey family.
