Randall Eugene Cope

Randall “Randy” Cope, 52, of Brunswick, passed away on Saturday, December 12th, 2015 at Southeast Georgia Health System – Brunswick Campus surrounded by Family and Friends. Randy was a native of Glynn County, born on July 13th, 1963; he is predeceased by his parents, George Wyman Cope, Jr., father, Pauline Edwards (Davis), mother, Albert Davis and Lois Beasley Davis, his maternal grandparents, and O.J. Edwards, his Dad; a Grandson, Andrew Micheal Powell, Aunts, Villa Gordon and Mary Lou Gordon, Uncles, Billy Davis, Sr. and Bobby Davis, and sister, Sheila Edwards Embery.

Randy is survived by his wife, Lesa D Shelton-Cope, of Brunswick. His Children and son, Johnathan R Cope of Jesup and three daughters, Amanda Torres of Brunswick, Jenny McElroy & B. Todd Leggett of Hortense and Mistie L & Greg Roberson of Brunswick. His grandchildren, Audrey L McElroy of Brunswick and her father, Rusty McElroy of Virginia; James W Powell and Aaron W Powell of Brunswick, and their father Brian Powell of NC, D.Blake Moore, Evelyn A Moore and Cecilia M Moore, all of Brunswick, and their father Kevin D Moore of Odum; Zoe Cope and Wren Cope, both of Glenville, and Noah Torres and Juana Torres of Brunswick and their father Jose Torres of Mexico. His surviving siblings include, Paulette Lane Parker of Jesup, H Kevin Lane of Atlanta, Ranee Lane Carter of Darien, Cecilia Stone of Nahunta, Ricky Edwards of Brunswick, Buddy & Tine Edwards of Brunswick, Pansy & Gary Holland of Cox, GA, Delany & Sue Edwards of Smithville, NC, Bronnie and Rita Edwards of Goldberg, NC; O.J. & Amy Edwards of Jesup, and Albert & Sandra Edwards of Pine Level, N.C. Donley Edwards of Beulaville, NC and many other fraternal siblings. Mr. Cope is also survived by Special Family Members: Aunt Morrine Caraway of Vidalia, Aunt Laverne Gillis of Vidalia, Aunt Margie Branham of Eulonia, and Aunt Viola Fuller of Brunswick and Uncle Jimmy Davis Sr. of Jesup, his ex-wife, Diane Keller Cope, of Jesup, and friends, Elizabeth Faircloth & Pauline Grinstead. He has numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other special family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at the Brookman Community Building @ Baldwin Park, 1150 Myers Hill Rd, Brunswick, GA; we invite all family and friends to come and share your stories of Randy’s life.

The Family asks that in Lieu of Flowers, Contributions be made to help cover the expense of Crematory and Memorial Services, and the purchase of a Proper Urn for Mr. Cope’s remains.
