Mr. Ray Kynerd, Jr., age 85, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville.  The Winona, MS native had split his time between his homes in Savannah and Collins for the past thirty seven years.  He retired from the Railroad after sixty years of service with Norfolk Southern and Georgia Central Railroad.  Mr. Kynerd is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lora Kynerd.

He is survived by a special friend, Ann Coleman; son, Tom Ray Kynerd (Sandra), a daughter, Judy Kynerd Richter (George), three grandchildren, Jennifer Kynerd Grayson (Nick), Victoria Richter Bronston (Kurtis), and Ryan Lee Richter; two great grandchildren, Addison Leigh Grayson and Blake Nicholas Grayson; sister, Ruth Kynerd Allen (Archie) and several nieces also survive.

Visitation will begin 1:00pm Saturday, June 7, 2014 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the funeral services to follow at 2:00pm with the Reverend Charles Jonas officiating.
