Raymond James "Jim" Brazel

Raymond James “Jim” Brazel, age 69, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at his residence.  He was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 8, 1949 to Edsel O. and Alice Owens Brazel and lived most of his life in Tattnall County.  He retired from Civil Service as an Outdoor Recreation Specialist.  His hobbies included fishing, reading, and especially studying the word of God.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Elma Brazel of Ireland; daughter, Leary Alice Brazel of Ireland; siblings, Ed Brazel, Jr. of Collins, Richard Brazel of Rutledge, Kathy Wilson of Reidsville, John Brazel of Brunswick, and Melissa Hewlett of Brunswick; several nieces and nephews and friends also survive.

Memorial services will be conducted beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial with Bro. Jeff Bullard officiating.  Services will conclude following the chapel service.
