Reba Faye (Benton) Blocker Roberts

Mrs. Reba Faye Benton Blocker Roberts, age 79, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 after a long illness. The North Carolina native had lived in Tattnall County most of her life. She had worked many years as a Nursing Assistant at the Glenvue Nursing Home and was a member of the Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Roberts was a loving wife, mother, nanny and meme. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.L. “Libb” Benton and Martha Dixon Benton; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Jim Morgan; and sister-in-law, Ruth Benton; husbands, Louis Wendell Blocker and Elder Newt Audley Roberts.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (John) Waters of Glennville, Faye (Marty) Glisson of Claxton; son, J.T. “Bubba” (Sherrie) Blocker of Utah; step-daughters, Terri Flanders of Stone Mountain and Glenda Jhuremalani of Atlanta; she had nineteen grandchildren who were the light of her life, Wesley (Amanda) Waters and Sarah (Billy) Murray all of Glennville, Wendy Glisson of Claxton, Heather (Brian)Fitzgerald of Pembroke, Tash Sparrow and Kathy (Travis) Poll all of Utah, Jared (Stacy) Blocker of Brooklet, Kerrie Hatch, Dustin Hatch, and Jason (Krista) Hatch all of Utah, Trevor Flanders of Atlanta, Emir Jhuremalani and Nisha (Matt) Jones of Kansas City; She also was blessed with twenty great grandchildren who loved their meme very much; she is also survived by a brother, James F. “Buddy” Benton and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Betty Blocker; numerous nieces and nephews.
God has called an angel home that will be missed greatly.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm from Low Country Cremation Services and Burial formerly Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home Glennville Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Monday, December 8, 2014 from the Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church with the Elder Jim Bowen and Rev. Joe Eason officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Waters, Billy Murray, Brian Fitzgerald, Jared Blocker, Connor Lane and Frank Benton.
