Mrs. Reba L. Nail Cobb , age 93, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Collins, GA on September 27, 1924 to Lonnie Alexander and Fannie Bell Lynn.  Mrs. Reba, a lifelong resident of Collins, was honored in 2016 by being named the City’s Citizen of the Year and also its oldest living person.  She and her first husband, Ray Nail, were the first foster parents in Tattnall County.  Mrs. Reba had many jobs over the years including working in the shipyard during World War II, a cook at Jelks Clinic, Bethany Nursing Home and the Collins School Lunch Room.  She was the oldest living member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church where she had been a member for seventy years.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ray Nail and Lewis C. Cobb; siblings, Bertha Norton, Florrie Kennedy, Frances Knight, Felton, Hicks, Elmer, Curtis, Gladston, Dean and Edwin Lynn; and a son-in-law, Franklin Bacon.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Bacon and Mildred Nail both of Collins; grandchildren, Timothy (Traci) Bacon of Hayesville, NC, Mechelle (Rocky) Flowers of Lyons, Rebecca (Tracy) Howell, Louie (Billie)Lumley both of Danville, GA, and Ramanda (Scott) Hughes of Blairsville, GA; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Friday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday, October 21, 2017 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial.  Interment will follow in the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
