Glennville, Georgia
Rhonda DeLoach, age 47, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Optim Healthcare of Reidsville. She was born October 20, 1973, in Dublin, Georgia, to Roger and Linda Ellis DeLoach and was a lifelong Glennville resident. She was a 1992 graduate of Glennville High School and a 1996 graduate of The Medical College of Georgia with a Bachelor's of Science in Occupational Therapy. Rhonda's early career as an occupational therapist included employment with Candler Hospital in Savannah and West Rehab in Hinesville. Her aspirations and determination to help others, especially children, led her to establish her own occupational therapy business, "Open Hands Therapy." Her service to children enrolled in the Babies Can't Wait program and students in local school systems has enabled many children to achieve increased independence with daily living skills. For the past several years, she has served as the Occupational Therapist for The Toombs County School system.
Family was paramount in Rhonda's life. She was a supportive wife and mother. In her role as a mother, she, along with her husband, encouraged their children to experience a well-rounded life through pursuit of academic excellence and extracurricular activities. Rhonda enjoyed cooking, gardening, and especially spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Vacation Bible School classes, and led Children's Church.
Preceded in death by her father, she is survived by her husband of 25 years, Richie DeLoach of Glennville; her children, Carson DeLoach of Texas; Conner and Caroline DeLoach, both of Glennville; her mother, Linda Ellis DeLoach of Glennville; her sisters and brothers in law, Tina and Geep Bockhold of Savannah, Rebecca and Michael Woolard and David and Meg DeLoach all of Glennville; father in law and mother in law, Richard and Paula DeLoach of Glennville; nieces and nephews, Evan Woolard, Thomas DeLoach, C.J.
