Obituary
Richard Albert Andersen,
age 71 passed away
Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital
in Savannah. The Idaho native had lived in Richmond Hill
for the past 12 years. He was employed with Andersen
Pool Plastering. Mr. Richard loved to garden, help others
and go camping. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing
with his children and hosting barbeques. Mr. Andersen loved to serve at his church The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Georgetown. He was preceded in death
by his parents, Milton and Ardell Andersen; six siblings, Larry Andersen, Marlen
Andersen, Kyle Andersen, Pam Garland, Gaylen Andersen, and Kim Andersen.
Survived by his wife, Linda Andersen of Richmond Hill; three sons, Jesse Andersen of Bluffton, SC., Richard Scott Andersen of NJ., Zachary Andersen of Richmond Hill; two daughters, Jenie VanCleef of NJ. and Shonna Rae Hunter of Bluffton, SC; five step-children, Jerren Ancira of WY., Nicholas Towne of TX., Joey Towne of FL., Larry Towne and Melissa Towne both of Richmond Hill; two brothers, Dennis Andersen and Darius Andersen both of Rigby, ID; five sisters, Carol Kranz, DaLee Hansen both of Rigby, ID., Rhonda Simons of Benjamin, UT., Judy Bridges of Cuba, NY., Debra Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will be from 9:30am-10:30am Monday, March 5, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Georgetown, 1200 King George Blvd. with funeral services to follow at 11:00am with the Bishop Olson officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
