Richard Edsel Bennett

Richard E. Bennett, 67, lost his battle against lung cancer on November 15, 2020. He was a talented craftsmen that specialized in iron work. He loved to go fishing with friends and always looked out for others. Blessed with the gift of gab, there wasn't a story he didn't tell or even retell many times. He will be deeply missed by his friends and loved ones.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie, and his loving wife, Gwen.

He is survived by his father, Lenard Bennett, his daughter Ashley Bennett, his son John Goodheart and his sister, Rhonda Owens.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, 1:00pm, at Central Christian Church in Savannah, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for those inclined to donate to Hospice Savannah.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Bennett family.
