Richard “Dick” Charnock, 81 of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 under the care of Hospice of the Golden Isles.

He was born in Nassawadox, VA, on July 28, 1934. Dick graduated from Hargrave Military Academy in 1952 and went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. Dick retired after 22 years of service, which included one year in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, Rick (Linda) Charnock, Roger (Mari) Charnock; his grandchildren, Mariah, Olivia, Allie, and Thomas. Dick is also survived by his sister Nancy Parks of Cape Charles, VA and a brother Thomas (Irina) Charnock of West Palm Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews also survive. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Tommy.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Sanctuary located at 940 Harry Driggers Blvd., Brunswick, GA., with Pastor Kirk Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Coastal Georgia Honor Flight, Inc., P.O. Box 20466, St. Simons Island, GA 31522 or online at www.coastalgeorgiahonorflight.org Dick will be interred at Lower Northhampton Baptist Church in Cape Charles, VA.
