Richard Lee Dasher, Sr. passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021 at the age of eighty-six. He was a lifelong resident of Glennville, Georgia. Richard graduated from Glennville High School in 1954 and went on to own Glennville Hardware for thirty years and operate a pecan farm. He loved the outdoors, farming, and working on new projects. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, who lovingly referred to him as “Da”. He will be remembered for his strength and hard-working values, but, most of all, for his kind and loving nature. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Glennville, Georgia and preceded in death by his parents, Arthur D. and Beulah Lee Rogers Dasher; his son, Richard Lee Dasher, Jr.; siblings, James Dasher, Roger Dasher, Wyndell Reynolds, Eloise Griner and Jerry Dasher.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Deweese Lewis Dasher of Glennville; daughter, Kayla (Kent) Pedrick of Pooler; grandchildren, Alexandra (Robert) Crosby of Atlanta, Reagan (Austin) Segers of Atlanta, Marlee (Dalton) Powell of Reidsville, Jenna Dasher of Reidsville; great-grandson Rob Crosby; and dear friends and family members, Ken and Marianne Rogers.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Glennville City Cemetery with the Reverends Mike Howard and Carl Ledbetter officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ken Rogers, Mike Mulligan, Mark Pedrick, Clinton Dasher, Billy Barnard, Chris Roesler, Robert Crosby, and Austin Segers.
Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Glennville.
Glennville Funeral Home is serving the Dasher family.
