Richard Walton Mock, age 63, passed away on August 1, 2023, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. He was born on March 30, 1960, in Savannah to his parents Walton Raleigh Mock and Frances Pauline Ricketson Mock. He had lived in the Savannah area most of his life before moving to Ellabell.
Richard was employed with ES Integrated.
Outside of work, Richard had a zest for life. He had a wide range of hobbies and interests that kept him busy and happy. Richard enjoyed playing softball and baseball with friends, spending quality time at the beach and the pool to soak up the sun, hunting in the great outdoors, and horseback riding to appreciate the beauty of nature.
After a brief illness, Richard passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him. Richard is survived by his sister Mollie Bea Mock (Gregory Dyer) of Metter. He also leaves behind a niece Crystal (Peyton) Morris of Ellabell, nephew John (Brittney) Morris of Guyton, as well as six great nieces and nephews: Peyton, Madison, Hailey, Logan, Londyn, and Kayden.
Richard Walton Mock will be remembered for so much more than just the dates of his birth and death; he will be remembered for the impact he made in the lives of those around him. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will forever be cherished and celebrated.
In honor of Richard's memory, his family and friends will gather for a private memorial service time and location will be announced later. Richard may be gone, but his spirit will continue to live on in our hearts and memories. May he rest in eternal peace.
