Richard "Rick" A. Warren, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Candler County Hospital in Metter. He was born in Vidalia on May 7, 1956, to Bay and Queen Lavera Mosley Warren and had lived in Lyons, Garden City before making his home in Cobbtown in 2008.

Rick graduated from Lyons High School in 1974, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with learning and personal growth. His education was one of many steps that prepared him for the contributions he would make to both his community and his family.

A proud United States Navy Vietnam Veteran, Rick served his country with honor. Rick's career as a conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad spanned over 30 years, a role in which he took great pride. His professionalism and dedication to his work made him a respected member of the railroad community.

Outside of his professional commitments, Rick found joy in nature and had a deep love for the outdoors. Gardening was one of his greatest hobbies, as it allowed him to connect with the earth and share the beauty of his labor with those he loved.
