Ricky E. Kirkland

Ricky E. Kirkland, age 63, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.  He was born July 27, 1956 in Savannah to Wright and Lucille Dowd Kirkland.  He had lived in Tattnall County most of his adult life.  Ricky was a logger by trade and in his free time, he loved playing pool, fishing, hunting, and riding dirt roads.  He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Karin Bunch and siblings, Jake Kirkland and Jeanette Hollingsworth.

He is survived by his companion, Jane Tanner Harris of Collins; children, Neal (Samantha) Bunch of Reidsville, Cory Kirkland of Collins and Brandi Kirkland of Lyons; eleven grandchildren and one great grandson.

The family is giving Ricky’s friends an opportunity to stop by the funeral home on Wednesday from the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm.  Only one person at the time will be allowed into the funeral home to view.  A private graveside service will be held on Thursday at Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Sister Rachel Harrelson officiating.
