Robert Wayne Asher, Sr. peacefully passed away on August 5, 2023, at Altamaha Healthcare Center in Jesup, GA. He was born on June 7, 1956, in San Bernardino, CA, to the loving parents Robert and Juanita Bowen Asher.
Robert's journey through life led him from California to Brunswick and eventually settled him in Darien for the last seven years. He embraced his faith as a member of the Glory Worship Center and found purpose in his career as a long haul truck driver.
While Robert enjoyed the open road and the adventures it brought, he also had a deep passion for assembling model cars and watching NASCAR. These hobbies allowed him to immerse himself in his love for mechanics and enjoy the thrill of high-speed races.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill Anderson. Though they mourn his loss today, they find solace in knowing that he is reunited with them in eternal peace.
Left to cherish Robert's memory is his devoted wife of 28 years, Patricia Asher of Darien. Together they created a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Robert also leaves behind a legacy through his beloved children: Robert Asher Jr., Jason Asher, Becky Asher, Angel Deeb, Shannon Asher, and Shane Asher. Their lives have been influenced by their father's wisdom and unwavering support.
Robert's family extends beyond the immediate circle. He is survived by siblings Tony Reyes, Mike Reyes, Joann Casey, and Jeannie. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory within their hearts.
Through all the ups and downs of life's journey, Robert Wayne Asher Sr. lived with an indomitable spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. His kind heart and infectious laughter will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, let us celebrate the cherished moments shared and honor the impact he made on our lives. May his soul find eternal rest, and may the memories of his extraordinary life continue to inspire us all.
