1SG Robert Blue (Ret) Quietly and peacefully, Almighty God in his infinite wisdom gently closed the eyes of our loved one and entered him into eternal life on Friday, February 15, 2014, after a short illness. He was the son of the late Deacon John and Deaconess Lennie Blue, was born in Dillon, South Carolina. 1SG Robert Blue (Ret) and family came to Fort Stewart, Ga. in July 1975 for his tour of duty as the NCOIC of the X-ray Department at Winn Army Hospital, Fort Stewart, Ga. He retired in 1987, after faithfully serving his country with 24 years of military service and made his home in the Hinesville, Ga. area.
Visitation will begin from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm Friday, February 21, 2014 with funeral Services to follow at 1:00 pm from the Glennville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors rendered by the US Army.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Eleven Black Men of Liberty County, CO Mr. Barry Chapman, Pres., P.O. Box 96, Hinesville, Ga. 31310.
