Robert Howard Crawford Sr, age 87, rejoiced in the Lord and was called home to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday December 28, 2014, under the care of Pine Pointe Hospice, Navicent Health. The Tennessee native lived a very full and adventurous life. He was first and foremost a devout Christian; his beliefs guided and guarded every aspect of his life. In his younger years, Robert served his country with honor as part of the “Greatest Generation”, serving in both World War II and the Korean conflict. In his professional career, he was an attorney. Over an incredible 45+ year career, he served thousands of individuals in the Chattanooga area. Perhaps his most crowning achievement on this earth, however, was his family. To this day the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will tell of his amazing love and devotion to his family. Robert was predeceased by a son, Robert H. Crawford Jr.

Left to mourn his memory are his son, Tommy (Marilyn) Crawford of Seattle WA; daughter, Teri (Grant) Moore of Lizella GA; step daughter, Donna (Brian) Pittman; daughter-in-law Beverly Crawford Patterson of Chattanooga TN; sister, Mary “Alma” Burch of Douglasville PA; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family is holding a private memorial service for the immediate family to celebrate Robert’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to McKamey Animal Center 4500 North Access Road Chattanooga TN 37415.
