Mr. Robert A. Jordan , age 59 passed away Tuesday April 9, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville all of his life and was a 1971 graduate of Reidsville High School.  He was retired from the Department of Corrections serving as a Farm Superintendent.  Brother Robert was a member and past Worshipful Master of the Rising Sun Lodge #32, past President of the Tattnall County Shrine Club, member of the Scottish Rites, Alee Temple and the Sons of the Confederacy.  He volunteered at Gordonia Altamaha State Park Golf Course where he loved to play golf.  He was a member of the Reidsville Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. “Bill” Jordan.

He is survived by his wife of 39yrs, Debra Waters Jordan of Reidsville; son, William James “Jamie” (Cathy) Jordan of Jackson, TN; daughter, Robin Jordan Meeks of Reidsville; sister, Sharon (John) McCall of Reidsville; Brother, Rusty (Holly) Jordan of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Dixie Jordan Meeks, Will and Owen Jordan; special grand dog, Lilly; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Thursday from the Reidsville Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Friday April 12, 2013 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Knight and Mr. Jackie Trim officiating.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Pallbearers will be Van McCall, Joe Waters, Brandon Meeks, Don Jordan, Gavin Jordan, and Rusty Reardon.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Masons and Shriners.
