Rodney "Skeet" Earl Milliner

Rodney E. “Skeet” Milliner, 69 passed away peacefully, Thursday morning December 24, 2014, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. Born in Hartford, CT. on May 10, 1945, he was born to the late Calvin Milliner, Sr. and Mary Ellen Milliner. Besides his father he was also predeceased by his wife, Mattie Milliner and daughter, Jackie Milliner. Rodney attended Hornell Senior High School and in 1961 was elected sophomore class Vice- President, graduating in 1964. Rodney joined the U.S. Marine Corps, directly out of High School in 1964 and was later Honorably Discharged, serving two tours in Vietnam, earning various medals and awards. He was a member and Post Commander of the Hornell V.F.W. Post No. 440. He loved to entertain and teach life lessons. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help those less fortunate.

His loving family includes his mother, Mary E. Milliner from Hornell, NY; son, Eric Milliner; brothers and sisters, Calvin Milliner, Jr. of Jamestown, NY, Dennis Milliner of Hornell, NY, Ellen Nelson of Hornell, NY, Theresa Milliner of Hornell, NY, Martha Milliner of Dubai, UAE, Joseph Milliner of Hornell, NY and Karen Milliner of Green Island, NY. Several step-children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 P.M., Friday, January 2, 2014 at Rehoboth Deliverance Ministries, 112 East Ave. Hornell, NY. 14843.

Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Milliner family.
